The paintings here are a small sample of how I started this series, the large wood sculpture is carved from Burl Pecan  I sculpted the wood section is 1993 in my studio / art foundry in Mexico. I completed the bronze mount on a steel column in   2,001. It was displayed once, at my 2002 exhibition at the New Light gallery in Abingdon, VA.  I refused selling it, and later returned it to my studio where I left it outdoors in the weather for over a year. I refinish the surface and brought it to my new home where it now lives. The weight of the entire piece is about 300 lbs.
